We've still got over a month until the regular season kicks off, but I figured it'd be fun to do our predictions for the season. Here are my predictions for division winners and playoff teams:
AL East: Red Sox AL Central: Indians AL West: Astros
AL Wildcards: Blue Jays and Rangers
NL East: Nationals NL Central: Cubs NL West: Dodgers
NL Wildcards: Cardinals and Mets
What do y'all think?

AL Wildcards: Rays and Rangers
NL East: Mets NL Central: Cubs NL West: Dodgers
NL Wildcards: Giants and Cardinals
Going with pitching heavy representation.

Don't you all forget about the Giants and their even year bullshit.

Giants are incredible. Every time you count them out, they come back with a vengeance. Curious to see how Jeff S. does for them though, hefty investment there. I just like some of their continuously under rated prospects and think they'll make good use of them.

It took me way too long to figure out this was for real life baseball and not our league, lol. It's an even year, so the giants take the world series!

Pretty crazy that only one person is predicting the defending world champs to make the playoffs. They don't look like the best team on paper every year but some how find a way to get it done.

Yeah I just think that the Tigers finally addressed the pen and added Upton and Zimmermann to an already good team. They may win 96+ games if they stay healthy. And that's what I can't expect the Royals to do a third year in a row, stay healthy. The odds are against them. Maybe they do, but Im not betting on it

I can't envision any scenario where they win that many games

I don't think the Tigers will win that many, but they will have a pretty salty batting lineup with Upton, Miggy, Kinsler and Martinez.

No doubt! It's a pretty solid lineup.

Rotation Depth:
Verlander - Sanchez - Zimmermann - Pelfrey - Norris - Fulmer - Boyd - Greene - VerHagen - Robertson
They may have the deepest rotation depth in all of the AL in terms of MLB ready / able workhorses.
Add in KRod and Lowe to their pen, and a healthy Rondon, and I think they've got outstanding hitting/pitching balance.
On the hitting front, everyone seems to forget JD. With him, Upton, Miggy, VMart, Kinsler and prospect Moya ready to roll, they may challenge the Blue Jays in terms of power this season.
Honestly, I would be surprised if they win less than 90, but am sticking with 96+.

Starting to lean towards the Nats instead of the Mets, but going to stick with the Mets.. Like what the Nats did in the off-season acquiring Murphy and Revere.. Giolito could be up soon after the year starts giving them a potential ace at the back end of that rotation
