The San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies agree to a trade.
The Giants send Alec Hansen, SP CWS and Michel Baez, SP SD. 4 and 5 milb years left, respectively.
The Phillies send Eugenio Suarez, 3B CIN. His contract is 3 years, 1 mil per year.

The San Francisco Giants sign Pat Neshek, RP PHI to a 2year/$1.7m per year deal, worth a total of $3.4m. he has zero options.
Neshek will be placed on the active roster, and Eric Sogard $400k/1yr remaining will be sent to the reserve roster, using up one of his remaining options for the 2018 season. He has 2 options remaining.

The San Francisco Giants promote Mac Marshall (P-SF) and Kyle Crick (P-PIT) to the reserve roster, both on 1-minors contracts. They both have 3 options remaining, using one for the 2018 season. Actually, since both players are on a 1 year MINORS deal, they have options set as OPT(*). They won't be issued 4 options until signed to a 6 year arbitration deal next off-season |
