We are a little less than a month away from the MLB draft - the draft is on June 4th.
Last year we started early on ours around July 8th. We started earlier than the actual start date we had set because teams in the top of the draft were ready to make their picks. If you remember, we did not enforce the "time clock" during the first few days of the draft since we did start early.. We only enforced the "time clock" after we passed our initial start date. I'm fine with doing that again this year..
For the new guys, time clock is 12hrs to make your pick. If you miss your pick, you will be automatically skipped in all picks until you make up the original missed pick. It is no one's responsibilty but your own to ensure you are on to make your pick. Feel free to use a proxy if you will be out of contact and you have a pick coming up. I will be available to make picks for other teams and I would assume Astros will be too.
If you have any questions, let us know!

Hey guys, I've been asked about a draft date a couple times now. I would say we "should" be pretty safe to start on July 9th after the holiday; however, if teams want to start drafting before then, that is fine; however, no clock will be enforced.
Pretty interesting draft last night, ready to see how things go here!

I would start the day after the signing deadline.
