Hello guys,
Wanted to let everyone know that annual J2 signings are going to start on Monday 7:00am CST!!! Feel free to post international minor free agents that signed in between July 2nd 2017 - July 1st 2018, which does include Ohtani. Since he did not reach the limit for a majors contract he will be able to be signed as a minor.
As for the draft, we've still got quite a few guys that have not signed. Would really like to wait until the vast majority have signed to start making picks. At least the first round picks.. I've seen conflicting information, but I think the signing deadline is July 6th. At that point if Giants is ready to roll, I'm fine with him going ahead and making picks; however, the draft will officially start on July 9th at 7:00am CST. Each pick has 12hrs.. as a reminder if you miss a pick, your subsequent picks are automatically skipped until you make up the first skipped pick.
Also, please go look at the updated draft orders in the draft folder. It is imperative that you check that out before the draft to ensure everything is accurate.
@cards, Mat - I think you headed making the draft pick updates last year, are you available to do the same this year? That would be great if you could, if not I'll have to get access to pro-boards moderator. Let me know on that front when you get a chance.
