Because there have been multiple questions, Yes all unsigned (not posted in the teams' thread) draft picks are far game.

When was the period to sign over? The draft seemed to end on the 22nd. Some teams were adding players on the 31st. Weren’t these adds invalid?

If I remember correctly, in the past, we didn't restrict this from happening. Other my correct me. The only time they were not able to be signed by the team drafting them is if someone started to bid on them. The first year we had several GMs not sign because they were dropping out of the league and there was a feeding frenzy. Last year, there was not as much action.

Well then, what other parts of the constitution aren’t valid so us newer guys can play on a level playing field?

This is somewhat similar to the J2 signing as the players in reference added via fantrax on 7/31 were actually already posted in the transactions log on the site here. If you look at the Constitution this is what the 1 week period refers to. There is still somewhat a gray area on the protocol related to fantrax. We definitely need to incorporate details as to how to handle fantrax because again, currently there is two steps to essentially all adds: 1. Make notation in your team transaction page and 2. Making those adjustments on fantrax.
"2. There will be a one week Signing Period following the conclusion of the draft. During the Signing Period you may sign, trade or relinquish the rights to a player. All contracts for minor leaguers will be 6 years in length.
a. If you choose to sign a player once you have draft him, you must post the transaction on your team's transaction thread by the signing period deadline as noted above.
b. If you trade a player or receive a drafted player in a trade during the signing period, you must post the transaction on your team's transaction thread.
c. During the signing period you may relinquish the rights to any drafted players. This must be posted on your team's transaction thread. As the players were never signed by the releasing GM, they may be bid on by him at any time."
