Astros just lost a game because of the new slide rule and it was way more controversial than the Bautista slide IMO. Anyone see the play?

It was definitely an illegal slide, per the new rules.. BUT, there was no attempt to turn 2.. I don't know if that matters or not.. I have a feeling this is going to cost a bunch of teams some games in the future.. Rasmus is right, guys are going to have to learn how to abide by the new rules.. If someone has been doing it one way their entire career, it may be difficult to change especially in the spur of the moment.. (9th inning with 1 out and you hit a grounder up the middle).

I agree Rasmus violates the rule and shouldn't have slid like that, but it really bothers me that the brewers didn't even attempt to turn 2... Plus, with Altuve's speed there was zero chance they were getting him out at first. I just hate that it's an automatic out in that situation. Especially frustrating cause the Astros had just scored 4 runs in 9th to pull within 2 runs with winning run (Springer) coming to the plate
