The Royals sign the below players as FFA and sign them to 1-M contracts to place them on the MLB roster...
Jose Cuas RP KC will be added to ACTIVE roster.
Richard Lovelady RP KC will be added to reserve roster.
CJ Alexander 3B KC will be added to reserve roster.
Ronald Bolanos RP KC will be added to reserve roster.
Freddy Fermin C KC will be added to reserve roster.

The Royals sign SP Jose Urena COL to a 2 year $400k deal, $800k total. He will be placed on the active roster and is over the IP limit to have options.
To make room on the active roster, SP Simeon Woods-Richardson MIN (1-M) has been optioned to reserves.
To make room on the 40-man, the Royals waive CJ Alexander 3B KC. He was signed as a franchise free agent and was on a 1-Minors contract.

Bryce Harper OF PHI has been placed on IL.
To fill his spot, Nico Hoerner 2B,SS CHC has been recalled from the reserve roster.

The Royals sign RP Taylor Clarke KC to 1 yr $400k deal. He will be added to the active roster.
The following moves were made to make room:
RP Zack Littell SF has been optioned to the reserve roster. His options drop from 4 to 3*.
RP/SP Jojanse Torres HOU has been relieved of his duties and released. He is owed $400k.
