Hey everyone,
What if we moved the championship to a week earlier in the season? The reason I propose this is because of all the roster situations that occur the last week of the MLB regular season. For example, often times players sit out due to their team being eliminated from playoff contention. Or, for the teams that are in the playoffs, managers choose to rest pitchers to set-up their playoff rotations. Given that our regular season is so long, it seems like a mistake to have our championship decided by this situations that can disproportionately affect our fantasy teams.
I propose that we remove one week from the regular season and have the championship a week earlier.
Thoughts?

Definitely agree with this, decreases odds of champ teams having injuries or rested players.

Playing Devil's advocate, the con of this is that it gives us 1 less week in the regular season for those who are trying to make the playoffs.

How many football leagues do you guys play in that go all the way until the last week? I think the same principles apply here.
The championship should be decided with your best players available. That trumps one extra week in the regular season, in my opinion. We'd still have 21 weeks.

Agree I think it makes sense to hopefully avoid teams shutting down players or end of the year IL stints.
